La Gente Car Club Sponsored a BBQ fundraiser for a good friend Ruben "Chaka" Gonzales. Everyone came out in support for this good cause. He is battling cancer, and this was a good way for everyone who knows him to come out and just share a few words, stories, and some tales. Sooner or later we will get a hold of this disease and stomp it out. In the meantime, heres to you Ruben, we still have lots of stories to tell, bro.
Sad to say, Ruben lost his battle with cancer. I've known Chaka since the 80's when cruising Saviers on Sunday nights was the norm. The Latin Lords Car Club days. The hanging out at Beck park before the cruising nights. Chilling out at Johns house BBQ'ing with Jerry before hitting the cruise spots. Hey bro, we will all see each other again. RIP brother.
